In May of 2007 I contracted with A.J. Zirkel to remove approximately eight feet by 70 feet of an extremely high crown of my driveway which has a 24% slope on both sides. The job required the removal of the black top, cutting the hill down, dropping about 20 trees and leveling the area to create a staging to move the fill, repaving the driveway with asphalt, and constructing a retaining wall. I met with four contractors in Benzie County. After talking with several residents and two bankers regarding the AJ\'s reputations, I selected AJ Excavating.
